The following three screenshots contain text messages I received from Luke Wenke in the spring of 2021, followed by my response. I knew it was Luke Wenke because he’s the only person I know who continued to fixate on the now-defunct message board website Topix for years after it had shut down (and still obsesses over to this day). Wenke is well-known throughout Salamanca and Olean as a prolific and widely-despised troll who made it his personal mission to ruin lives by spreading malicious rumors on Topix.
At around the same time I received the message below from Luke Wenke, an acquaintance received a text message from the same number claiming to be Western New York businessman Carl Paladino. This only furthered our suspicions that Luke Wenke was behind the messages, since he’s almost as obsessed with Carl Paladino as he is with Topix.
